Auditions for ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ live-action film

Auditions are currently being set up for new starring and supporting roles in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures live-action feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”. Shooting will get underway this Fall, 2016 in London. To be considered, all actors MUST have legal eligibility to work in the entertainment industry in London.

“The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is a live action adaptation of the Christmas Eve tale about a young girl who finds a Nutcracker doll among the family’s gifts and is charged by her parents to take special care of it. Under the cover of darkness, the Nutcracker comes to life, along with an evil Mouse King with seven heads, introducing Marie to the magical world of toys, and the brave Nutcracker who will change her life forever.

Starring in “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is Saturn Award nominee Mackenzie Foy as Clara, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren as Mother Ginger, two-time Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley as Sugar Plum Fairy, and Clara, Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman as Drosselmeyer. Remaining roles to be cast include those listed below.

Three-time Academy Award nominee Lasse Hallström will direct “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” from an adapted screenplay written by Ashleigh Powell, based on characters by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Online Film & Television Association OFTA Award nominee Larry J. Franco is producing “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” along with Academy Award nominee Mark Gordon and Lindy Goldstein. Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize nominee Linda Goldstein Knowlton is executive producer. “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” will be distributed by Disney in 2018.
