20th Century Fox Film Corporation and Marvel Studios are in pre-production on the upcoming superhero feature film reboot “The Fantastic Four” and casting for the films starring, co-starring, and supporting roles is underway. Shooting will begin in September, 2013 and will take place in and around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. The stand-ins and photo-doubles for the film’s stars, as well as general extras and featured background actors will be cast locally in Baton Rouge. This film was originally set to shoot in Vancouver, however the production was moved to Louisiana after lawmakers in the state rejected a bill that would have reduced subsidies to the entertainment industry.
Filmmaker Josh Trank will direct “The Fantastic Four” from a screenplay written by newcomer Jeremy Slater, with revisions by Seth Grahame-Smith. Trank recently made his film directorial debut with the Twentieth Century Fox feature film “Chronicle”, which was made on a $12 million budget and raked in over $127 million at the box office. Trank has directed episodes of the Spike TV series “The Kill Point”. Trank is now attached to direct Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff “Venom”, Warner Bros. Pictures “The Red Star”, and Sony’s film adaptation of the video game “Shadow of the Colossus”.
Two-time BAFTA Awards nominee Matthew Vaughn will produce “The Fantastic Four” under the banner of his company Marv Films. Vaughn is a highly accomplished producer and director whose credits include “Kick-Ass” and “Kick-Ass 2” starring Aaron Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz, “X-Men: First Class”, and the currently filming “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. Upon completion of “The Fantastic Four”, Vaughn will write and direct the feature film “The Secret Service” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Colin Firth. Kevin Feige will oversee production for Marvel Studios. 20th Century Fox Film Corporation will handle worldwide distribution.

Story:
Two friends (who end up being Mr. Fantastic and The Thing), starts with them being really young. An event happens at 16 that changes them, instead of being superheroes, they are basically owned by the government and used as weapons.
